James A. Parsons, Managing Partner                                      

Mr. Parsons has more than 30 years of experience in structuring, negotiating and advising on corporate financial transactions totaling in excess of $10 billion, including public and private offerings of equity, subordinated debt and senior credit facilities. His experience bridges several industries, including telecommunications, specialty finance, media, entertainment, gaming, specialty retail, health care and a variety of manufacturing and service related industries.

Mr. Parsons is currently Chief Executive Officer of Kingston Capital LLC. Mr. Parsons was a co-founder of Sprint PCS affiliate UbiquiTel, Inc. having a coverage area of approximately 10 million POPs, where he arranged $300 million in senior debt, subordinated debt and equity. (UbiquiTel was sold in 2006 for $1.3 billion to Sprint). Mr. Parsons was previously Managing Director of the Corporate Finance Division of U.S. Bank and Managing Director at Ocean Capital, where he was responsible for providing advisory services for mergers and acquisitions, management buyouts, re-capitalizations, and private placement transactions with numerous companies.

Mr. Parsons was Executive Vice President of Corporate Development at an AMEX listed television production company, and Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for an AMEX listed film production and distribution company. In these positions he was responsible for managing all capital market activities, including arranging over $500 million in project financings, sale & lease-back financings, public limited partnerships, bond exchanges and senior debt credit facilities.

Mr. Parsons was head of Bank of America’s Entertainment, Media and Health Care Group where he was responsible for advising and acting as agent for over 100 major financing projects and a portfolio of over $4 billion. Relationships included Disney, Warner Bros., MGM, Twentieth Century Fox, Metromedia, TCI, American Medical International National Medical Enterprises, Ronald Perelman, Kirk Kerkorian, Marvin Davis and Roy Disney.

Mr. Parsons received his Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Indiana University and his M.B.A. from Indiana University in Finance and Economics. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Bainbridge Island.
